Position Overview

This role will support Company Leadership and the Production, Sales, and Logistics Departments in reviewing and reporting on production and sales performance, forecasts, and maintaining reports and Key Performance Indicators (KPIs).  This position is responsible for material management for the region, identifying needs and managing vendor relationships. 

 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Ensure Health & Safety standards are met by complying with legislation, company policies and promoting a safe work environment.
  • Analyze and support various key business drivers such as production, sales, and logistics.   
  • Responsible for the materials cost strategy communication for the Asphalt business.
  • Assist in supply chain planning for ordering and inventory management.
  • Consolidate and forecast aggregate ordering for the region.
  • Research and assist the implementation of innovative technologies.
  • Assist in preparation of key suppliers forecasting.
  • Create and maintain dashboards using various Business Intelligence (BI) tools.
  • Assist in data preparation for various leadership meetings.

 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the public at all times.
  • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
  • Must be willing to adapt to different work settings as required by schedule (Asphalt plants and/or office locations).
  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Environmental, Health & Safety Manual.
  • Strict adherence to policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.

 

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

 

Experience/Education

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred, or equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • 2-4 years of related experience and/or training in the construction industry.

 

General Requirements

  • Must possess a valid driver’s license.

 

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

  • Must possess and have working knowledge to complete necessary mathematical and statistical calculations.
  • Must possess skills in MS Office.  Strong Excel and PowerPoint skills are required.
  • Must possess strong public speaking and presentation skills.
  • Experience with BI tools such as Tableau, Crystal Reports or other report writers, and Salesforce CRM is preferred.
  • Knowledge of MS SQL or general databases, Viewpoint or other financial systems, and APEX (POS system).
  • Willingness and ability to learn CRH specific procedures, practices, and systems.
