Job Summary

The Production Manager ensures safety while overseeing and maintaining the organization’s Production Dept. This role collaborates with site Management and Production leaders on all production related items. The Production Manager creates goals and hits production metrics while ensuring, training, various compliance matters, discipline, employee engagement and retention. 

Responsibilities

• Create a safe and clean work environment/culture for all employees
• Ensures only good, quality product is being produced
• Responsible for plant production metrics; (scrap, pounds, feet, costing etc.)
• Ensures all necessary tools and equipment are available and in working order
• Ensures production schedule is followed
• Communicate with Shift Supervisor and Product Lead daily
• Address any personnel concerns and escalate to HR as needed
• Completes and processes time-off requests and timesheets for payroll timely
• Creates and maintains production procedures
• Develops and trains Supervisors

Requirements

• 2+ years managerial experience within a production organization
• Experience within plastic extrusion highly preferred
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Proficiency in basic business (Microsoft Office) software
