Position Overview
This is a skilled position requiring the employee to perform a variety of accounting/office support functions.
Wage Ranges from $20.24-$24.90 per hour, dependent upon experience.
Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
- Performs customer calls on outstanding accounts receivable balances.
- Assists employees, vendors, clients, or customers by answering questions related to accounts.
- Follow up with local point-of-sale on receipts for COD orders.
- Reviews, investigates, and corrects errors and inconsistencies in billings.
- Identifies and resolves problems and inconsistencies, determining appropriate corrective procedures.
- Verifies details of business transactions, such as funds received, and totals accounts to ledgers or computer spreadsheets and databases.
- Codes data for input to financial data processing system according to company procedures.
- Perform other duties or special projects as assigned.
Qualifications
- Language Skills - Ability to read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, technical procedures, or governmental regulations. Ability to write business correspondence. Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers, clients, customers, and the general public.
- Mathematical Skills - Ability to calculate figures and amounts such as discounts, interest, commissions, proportions, and percentages. Ability to apply concepts of basic algebra.
- Reasoning Ability -. Ability to interpret a variety of instructions furnished in written, oral, diagram, or schedule form.
- Time Management - To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily and in a timely manner.
Education/Experience
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
- 1 - 2 years of experience in accounting related functions is desired.
Work Requirements
- Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
- Must be 18 years in age or older.
- Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background checks.
- Report to the office dressed appropriately and ready to begin work at the designated start time.
- Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.
- Willingness to work independently within a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required.
