Position Overview

This is a skilled position that is responsible for tracking, compiling, analyzing data required for effective administration of construction contracts. This position supports Estimators, Project Managers, and Accounting Staff.


Wage ranges from $20.00 to $24.00 per hour dependent on experience.


Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Create, organize, and maintain construction contract files.

  • Prepare and maintain subcontract agreements.

  • Review and maintain subcontractor bond company files.

  • Manage and approve certified payroll, internal and subcontractor.

  • Manage compliance with DOT subcontractor requirements.

  • Prepare and manage required subcontractor documentation.

  • Request subcontractor pre-qualification documentation.

  • Review subcontracts, verifying accuracy, and resolving discrepancies in line with company rules and guidelines.

  • Liaising between parties regarding subcontract development, and negotiations regarding terms and conditions, and drafting and revising changes as required.

  • Other duties as assigned.



To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.



  • High School diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

  • 2 years of experience as a Contract Administrator or equivalent, preferred.

  • Experience in a building materials/construction industry preferred.


Work Requirements

  • Must be proficient in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook. 

  • Must be 18 years in age or older.

  • Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check.

  • Report to the office dressed appropriately and ready to begin work at the designated start time.

  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

  • Willingness to work independently within in a team environment and assist the team with other duties as required.

  • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required (less than 20% of the time).


Knowledge/Skill Requirements

  • Proficient knowledge of legal requirements pertaining to relevant contracts.

  • Demonstrate strong verbal and written communication skills, and an ability to work with partnering departments.

  • Ability to effective use office equipment including, but not limited to, computers, copiers, ten key adding machine, printers, etc.

  • Demonstrate a hands-on, collaborative approach, work well in a team. 

  • Strong skill in planning and organization, as well as skills in project management.
