JJob Description Summary
The selected candidate will be required to work in a team environment with other co-workers and managers.

  • Responsible for own personal safety always as well as, maintain the highest standard of safety and quality in all aspects of the job.
  • Be able to identify any associated risks, and how to implement appropriate controls.
  • Install new electrical systems using 480V and/or 120V and 24V circuits including control and switchgear cabinets, conduits, wiring, and terminations
  • Troubleshoot existing electrical equipment and systems wired in 480V/120V/24V.
  • Repair and maintain existing electrical equipment.
  • Electrical testing and calibration
  • Ability to track, record, and maintain official records of work completed as per Federal and State requirements.
  • Monitor work area and surroundings during task completion and machinery operation.
  • Maintain operator logs, forms and records in accordance with company policy regulations.
  • Detect and report improper operation, faulty equipment, defective materials and unusual conditions to supervisor.
  • Safely maintain work area and vehicle in a clean and orderly condition
  • Working with electrical subcontractors
  • Assist in plant maintenance and in compiling reports regarding plant repairs and maintenance.
  • Help manage electrical projects
  • Diagnose electrical issues
  • Perform industrial electrical upgrades
  • Assist with the management of the ARC Flash program
  • Overtime required
  • Work in a safe and professional manner
  • Report any accident or incident to a supervisor
  • Wear proper PPE at all times (Personal Protective Equipment)
  • Follow all company policies along with OSHA/MSHA regulations for safe working procedures and environment
  • Travel to other locations as needed
  • Maintain all electrical components at company locations including plants, scale houses and mechanic shop.
  • Must be familiar with 480 volt equipment.
  • Follow directions of supervisor as to daily tasks and expectations for each specific project or jobsite.
  • Responsible for a safe work environment for themselves and co-workers.
  • Perform general labor duties when necessary.
  • Regular and predictable attendance at assigned times is required. 
  • Other duties as may be assigned. 

 

Requirements and Qualifications

 

Work Requirements:

 

Minimum of a high school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

Valid state driver’s license and satisfactory driving record is required.

Three to five years of increasing experience as Electrician.

Must be 18 years in age or older.

Must pass pre-employment physical, drug screen and criminal background check.

This position is considered a "Safety Sensitive" position due to travel requirements.

Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.

Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.

Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.

Individuals are required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated operations and production areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA. Protective equipment that may be required, but not limited to, for this position is: Face Shield, Safety (hard toe) Shoes, and Coveralls.

Compliance with all OSHA and/or MSHA regulations.
