Job Summary

 

The Operations Manager is responsible for the overall plant operations, including all production and ensuring employees strive to meet the standards set forth by the company for Safety, Quality, Productivity, Preventative Maintenance and Housekeeping. 

 

  • Direct all plant manufacturing processes and ensure quality products while maintaining a safe work environment
  • Plan and direct the layout of equipment, workflow and workforce utilization as well as participating in the procurement of raw materials, supplies and other production needs
  • Planning and establishing work schedules, assignments, and production sequences to meet production goals
  • Leverage dashboards and reporting tools to continually monitor performance, identify gaps and put action plans in place to improve. Work directly with site leadership to execute actions
  • Lead company performance reviews, track actions and drive improvement effort
  • Monitor Dashboards and reports daily by using company’s performance management system.  
  • Provide operations coaching and development to new and existing operations leadership as needed
  • Assist sites in maintaining their maintenance programs
  • Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree and/or 3+ years’ experience in a similar industry or a combination of education and experience
  • Excellent communication skills and willingness to be a hands-on leader
  • Ability to review and discuss results or production reports
  • Strong knowledge of OSHA Industry Standards
  • Proven ability to recruit, train and develop employees

 

Preferences

 

  • Maintenance background including basic knowledge of electronics
