Position Overview

The Dispatch Manager and Sales Representative is a hybrid role responsible for managing the customer service team and driving regional sales growth. This individual ensures top-tier service while actively engaging with customers to grow relationships and revenue across our materials portfolio.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions):

Dispatch Management:

•           Lead, coach, and develop a high-performing customer service and dispatch team.

•           Oversee order entry, delivery scheduling, and coordination with production and logistics teams.

•           Resolve escalated customer issues efficiently and professionally.

•           Track and report on service performance metrics (on-time delivery, call response, order accuracy, etc.).

•           Optimize processes and technology to improve service workflows

 

Sales Responsibilities:

•           Manage a portfolio of accounts in the aggregate and ready-mix sectors.

•           Identify and pursue new business opportunities through field visits, calls, and networking.

•           Monitor all upcoming work, review bids and specifications, prepare quotes and send to customer base

•           Collaborate with operations to develop pricing strategies and project quotes.

•           Monitor market conditions and competitor activity to inform sales tactics.

•           Maintain detailed CRM records and forecast sales pipeline activity.

 

Qualifications:

Education/Experience

  • 5+ years of combined experience in sales and customer service—preferably in construction materials.
  • Demonstrated leadership experience in a customer-facing role.

 

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

•           Demonstrated leadership experience in a customer-facing role.

•           Strong understanding of material delivery logistics and order lifecycle.

•           Excellent communication, negotiation, and relationship-building skills.

•           Proficiency with CRM systems and dispatch/order entry platforms (e.g., Command, Apex, Salesforce, etc.

•           Valid driver’s license and willingness to travel locally for customer visits.

•           Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.
