Position Overview

The Sales Manager will develop and maintain internal and external customer relationships as well as manage projects to provide quality, profitability, and customer satisfaction, while also maximizing our sales team potential, crafting sales plans and justifying those to plans to the upper management.

 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Implement corporate sales strategies; uphold corporate standards, and pursue the goal of driving new sales and increasing market penetration.
  • Reinforce consistent leadership and management of sales staff.
  • Work with reporting executives to develop strong strategic plans, organizational, communication, and market coverage/penetration skills.
  • Provide effective communication of sales strategies and development plans to Area Managers.
  • Develop, support and promote strong relationships.
  • Hire/Train/Motivate/Discipline qualified candidates to ensure consistency in sales performance:
  • Actively participate in appropriate local and national industry-related associations
  • Perform other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

Education/Experience

  • High School Diploma or equivalent
  • Previous (3-5 years) Business-to-Business Sales experience
  • Minimum 3 years of sales management experience
  • Industry sales management experience preferred

 

Work Requirements

  • Must have a state issued valid driver’s license

 

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

  • Excellent communication and reasoning skills, mathematical abilities, computer proficiency, and account management/maintenance skills.
  • The ability to effectively recruit and train sales personnel, track sales staff productivity, develop marketing strategies, forecasting revenue growth and profit, customer relationship building and operations management.
  • Ability to write and interpret business reports and correspondence.

  • Long periods of sitting and looking at computer screens
  • Must be able to stand for long periods of time

 

Work Environment

  • Will work in office environment.
  • Travel is required
