Position: Dispatcher Southwest
Term: Full Time

Position Summary:
Reporting to the Distribution Supervisor, the Dispatcher is responsible for monitoring a large fleet of RMX Drivers while delivering an exceptional customer experience throughout the dispatching process. As the first point of contact between the Distribution team and the RMX Drivers, the Dispatcher must be able to multitask and adjust to real time changes in a fast-paced environment in order to meet daily customer demands.
The Dispatcher must communicate effectively with the RMX Drivers, Batch Plants, and Distribution team through regular phone calls and two-way radio systems to ensure accurate and timely concrete delivery. Dispatchers must also possess a strong directional orientation and a working knowledge of roadways in the GTA and surrounding areas in order to optimize RMX fleet resources based on project locations. Dispatchers must be computer savvy and demonstrate the ability to learn concrete shipping software and other required dispatching technologies.
Dispatchers should possess an ability to work well in a team environment and be able to perform at a high level under pressure situations.
Job Responsibilities:
- Serve as the main point of contact between RMX Drivers and Distribution Team.
- Accurately and efficiently manage a large fleet of drivers over several batch plants to ensure on time delivery to our customers.
- Respond to customer enquiries and provide customers with updated information regarding their deliveries in an efficient and professional manner.
- Cultivate strong relationships with RMX Drivers to ensure scheduling and delivery accuracy.
- Handle customer complaints by troubleshooting service and quality related issues; providing real-time solutions to satisfy the customer’s needs.
- Uphold the company’s commitment to Environmental and Health & Safety.
- Administrative duties as required.
Requirements:
- High School Diploma
- 1-3 years of work experience
- Dispatching experience is an asset
- Related construction field and industry experience is an asset
- Computer savvy and proficient – experience with Microsoft Office and Google Maps; Command Concrete is an asset
- Strong customer service orientation and experience
- Superb radio / phone skills – ability to professionally handle calls in a fast-paced environment
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Punctual and Efficient
- Attention to detail
- Excellent organization and time management skills
- Geographical awareness – GTA and surrounding areas
- Commitment to health and safety
