Position Overview

The Marketing and Communications Manager will be responsible for developing and executing strategic marketing and communication plans to enhance brand awareness, drive engagement, and support business growth. This role requires a creative and analytical thinker with strong leadership skills and a passion for storytelling.

 

Key Responsibilities

  • Develop and implement comprehensive marketing and communication strategies.
  • Manage and oversee all marketing campaigns, including digital, print, and social media.
  • Create and manage content for various channels, including website, intranet, social media, and press releases.
  • Collaborate with internal teams to ensure consistent messaging and branding.
  • Monitor and analyze market trends and competitor activities.
  • Track and report on the effectiveness of marketing campaigns and initiatives.
  • Manage the marketing budget and ensure cost-effective strategies.
  • Manage external vendors to complete projects and / or maintain current programs.
  • Support in the development of studio-quality photographs and videos focused on recruiting, safety, and marketing.
  • Assist in the creation of promotional materials for recruiting and marketing initiatives.
  • Coordinate workshops, special events and other gatherings
  • Participate and speak at local and regional events, charities and community outreach programs to increase awareness of the organization
  • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.

 

Additional Responsibilities

  • Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors, and the general public at all times.
  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.
  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Environmental, Health & Safety Manual.
  • Adherence to policies and procedures as outlined in the Employee Manual.
  • Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required. 

 

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

 

Education/Experience

  • Bachelor’s degree with course work in communications, marketing, public relations or related field.
  • Proven experience in marketing and communications, preferably in a managerial role.
  • Strong understanding of digital marketing and social media platforms.

 

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
  • Ability to think creatively and strategically.
  • Strong project management and organizational skills.
  • Proficiency in marketing software and tools (e.g., Google Analytics, SEO tools, CRM software).
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment.

 

General Requirements 

  • Mobility to attend various meetings and events at offsite locations
  • Hours are extended throughout the year to include nights and weekends when necessary
  • Travel may be required
