Position Overview

This position offers a diverse set of accounting-related job responsibilities along with the opportunity to grow. Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)


  • Assists with accounting analysis related to the monthly, quarterly, and annual close process including financials, related financial analysis and reporting schedules.

  • Prepare and post journal entries as necessary.

  • Prepares and presents monthly reporting for business units throughout the Southern Atlantic Region.

  • Cross trains and analyzes information for accurate reporting.

  • Develops queries, manipulating data to necessary format, improving processes, as well as taking on special projects to meet the needs of senior management.

  • Debt statement management and coordination with the parent company and subsidiaries

  • Analyzes new business and departments to appropriately and accurately present profitability.

  • Creates ad hoc reports on request of financial data for senior management.

  • Prepares bank reconciliations on monthly basis to maintain segregation of duties.

  • Performs other duties as assigned.



  • Minimum Bachelors or equivalent in finance or accounting.  Masters or other advanced studies preferred.

  • 3+ years’ related work experience 

  • Preferred experience in Viewpoint and Hyperion

  • Advanced Excel skills

  • Must be able to adapt to new and different computer programs and software to enable efficient data gathering and analysis

  • Ability to research, compile, analyze and interpret data

  • Good written, verbal communication and collaborative skills

  • Ability to analyze and reconcile complex accounts and reserves

  • Strong organizational and communicational skills

  • Detail-oriented

  • Ability to filter, sort, and create PIVOT tables in Excel

  • Ability to work independently under minimal supervision

  • Self-motivated to deliver with a sense of urgency on priorities
