Summary:
The Mobile Maintenance Supervisor coordinates and supervises mobile maintenance crewmembers on preventive maintenance and mechanical repair activities. This position supervises mobile maintenance crewmembers assigned to specific projects.
What you'll be contributing:
- Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
- Ensures supplies and rental equipment are ordered and maintained for operations and projects.
- Collaborates with contractors, vendors, and storeroom personnel.
- Assigns and supervises the performance of the mobile maintenance team in preventative maintenance, mobile equipment repairs, and installation of new mobile equipment.
- Assists mechanics in diagnosing and resolving mechanical problems and inspects completed work.
- Estimates time and parts needed to complete the project.
- Identifies safety hazards and ensures employees have the proper tools to do the job safely before assigning the task.
- Conducts safety meetings, and inspections and ensures mechanics adhere to safety policies.
- Ensures that proper tools, equipment, and parts are available and utilized.
- Maintains specified records of repairs and other mobile maintenance work done.
- Coordinates with personnel to determine mobile maintenance project start and completion dates and how they will affect production.
- Trains new and current employees on proper procedures, techniques, and safety precautions.
- Monitors and maintains attendance, absenteeism, and vacation records for mobile maintenance
crewmembers. - Supports operations road map with mobile equipment plan. Develop and manage mobile
equipment capital expenditures. - Additional duties as assigned by supervisor.
JOB SUMMARY
To succeed in this position, you will need:
- Minimum High School Diploma
- Minimum 2 years of college or technical school in related subject matter
- Minimum 5 years of experience in a similar position in a related industry
- Ability to read, write, and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
- Proficient in English written, verbal communication, and listening skills.
- Ability to read, write and understand English
- Ability to lead/manage others
- Knowledge of all mobile equipment and machinery used in the plant and how each function.
- Knowledge of engines, transmissions, lubrications, electrical systems, welding, handling hazardous waste, and machine shop equipment and procedures.
- Knowledge of MSHA rules and regulations
- Knowledge of union working environment
- Ability to lead, direct and manage organizations, programs, and people
- Ability to make sound independent judgments regularly
- Ability to work from general policies and objectives with specified standards to use as guidelines.
- Ability to refer to department Superintendent or Manager when clarification or interpretation of the organizational policy is needed.
