Job Summary

 

CRL is seeking a skilled, experienced and energetic Architectural Business Development Director based in Los Angeles, CA. The position will be responsible for building the CRL brand and presence within the architecture and construction industry. The ABD director will lead a team of people responsible for identifying opportunities and providing product design and technical information assistance in order to secure CRL product specifications.

 

Responsibilities 
 

  • Establish and leverage a network of Architects, Designers, Project Managers, General Contractors, Owners etc. to identify opportunities and promote the CRL brand and products.
  • Responsible for maintaining and growing existing relationships, as well as developing and cultivating new relationships.
  • Provide consultative support throughout the entire process, from concept to construction.
  • Be an industry leader, leveraging the CRL team’s robust experience and infrastructure in order to drive business.
  • Collaboration with various internal stakeholders to develop and execute business development and growth strategies.
  • Prepare and execute annual business plan and budget.
  • Maintain CRM database of all business development activities.
  • Participate in industry trade shows, conferences, events & meetings, and education seminars.
  • Plan and execute hospitality and educational outreach events in local markets.

 

Requirements

 

  • Deep understanding, hands-on knowledge and appreciation of developer, design, and contractor economics, processes and needs.
  • Ability and experience navigating with senior levels of architectural firms.
  • Ability to build and maintain strong internal relationships.
  • Ability to independently analyze developer/contractor/design strategies and needs to articulate value proposition.
  • Comfort with working across a large range of products and having the poise to know when to call on the internal network for assistance.
  • Strong influencing skills; ability to drive results and revenue in a matrix environment as an influencer, not ultimate decision maker on customer transactions.


Qualifications

 

  • Experience within the commercial real estate development, design, and construction community is a must.
  • Recent experience as a Project Manager, Sales or Business Development Leader.
  • Ability to engage customers on a high level b2b platform.
  • Prior track record of achievement in positions with significant accountability.
  • Must possess ability to communicate effectively to present CRL products, position and capabilities.
  • Exudes a high level of professionalism and self-awareness.
  • LEED certification, BIM Project Management experience a plus.
