Job Summary

 

Maintains financial records and ensures the financial transactions are properly recorded.  Ensures the accuracy of entries to ledger accounts and reconciles subsidiary ledger accounts to the general ledger.  Prepares complex balance sheets, profit and loss statements and other financial reports.  Analyzes current costs, revenues, financial commitments, and obligations incurred to the predict future revenues and expenses.  May supervise and lead entry-level accountants.

 

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

 

  • Reviewing general ledger accounts and preparing and adjusting journal entries
  • Support U.S. cash application process
  • Performing account analysis and reconciliation, including bank statements and intercompany general ledger accounts
  • Assisting with initial internal control evaluations
  • Posting monthly, quarterly and yearly accruals
  • Assist with month-end close
  • Consolidate monthly financial results while performing various analysis (e.g. bad debt allowance)
  • Prepare audit schedules
  • Maintain SOX compliance by performing various reviews
  • Assist in special projects as needed

Skills, Knowledge and Ability Requirements

 

To be considered for a Staff Accountant position, the following conditions must be met:

  • Bachelors in Business Administration with an emphasis in accounting or finance
  • 1-3 years of functional accounting experience
  • Good understanding of GAAP
  • Skilled in account reconciliation, bank reconciliation, financial accounting, general ledger accounting, month-end close, quarter-end/year-end close and inter-company reconciliations.
  • Strong interpersonal skills and positive attitude
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills
  • Solid time management and organizational skills
  • Attention to detail and a strong work ethic
  • Exceptional computer skills (Microsoft Office)
