Job Description: Plant Operator

We are currently seeking a responsible and dedicated Plant Operator to join our team. As a Plant Operator, you will play a crucial role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our plant, while also prioritizing customer satisfaction and environmental compliance. Your attention to detail, technical knowledge, and commitment to safety will be vital in maintaining our high standards of production.

 

Responsibilities:

· Provide quality products promptly and courteously to customers.

· Handle customer inquiries professionally and promptly address concerns.

· Ensure plant safety: guards in place, proper PPE utilized, conduct weekly toolbox talks, and inspect safety equipment regularly.

· Maintain plant security: lock doors, gates, and equipment when unoccupied and report security issues.

· Maintain environmental compliance: monitor dust control system, keep containment areas clean, and promptly address leaks and spills.

· Efficiently operate the plant, monitor systems, and maximize plant efficiency based on current conditions.

· Perform preventative plant maintenance, assess equipment condition, and perform repairs as needed.

· Communicate regularly with customers, job foremen, QC personnel, and scale-house personnel, and inform site/plant employees of relevant information.

· Complete and submit paperwork accurately and on time, including hazard assessments, reports, logs, and product data management.

· Monitor and contribute to waste ratio, recycle ratio, and BTU usage targets.

 

Qualifications:

· High school diploma or equivalent.

· Previous experience in plant operations or a related field is preferred.

· Knowledge of plant equipment and maintenance procedures.

· Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety protocols.

· Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

· Detail-oriented and able to maintain accurate records.

· Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

· Willingness to comply with company rules and policies.
