Position Overview
The Purchasing Specialist plays a key role in supporting the day-to-day functions of the Operations side of our organization. This position is ideal for individuals who are organized, proactive, and eager to grow within a fast-paced, hands-on environment. Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties & Functions)
- Purchasing Support: Generate and submit purchase orders. Track orders to ensure on-time delivery. Receipt and process receiving documents. Resolve receipt and invoice discrepancies. Maintain accurate supplier records.
- Reporting & Collaboration: Provide weekly open purchase order reports to
alleach line of business (LOB); schedule and lead meetings to facilitate timely close outs. - Site Logistics: Receive and disperse materials to various LOB on the Lunenburg site
- Parts & Supplies: Run errands for parts and supplies on an as-needed basis.
- Safety Administration Support: Organize training materials, maintain safety records, and assist with internal safety audits.
- Administrative Tasks: Perform data entry, update records, and manage internal communications (memos, emails).
- Office Management: Maintain office supplies and ensure a clean, organized workspace.
- Departmental Support: Assist in preparing reports and presentations for various teams.
- Scale Operations Cross-Training: Participate in weekly training to learn scale operator duties, providing coverage during absences.
- Policy Compliance: Coordinate with team members to ensure adherence to company policies and procedures.
- Event Coordination: Assist in organizing company events, meetings, and team activities.
- Other Duties: Perform additional tasks as assigned, to support overall office efficiency.

Education/Professional Experience
- Prior experience in an administrative or office support role
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, especially Excel and PowerPoint
- Ability to manage multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
- Dependable, punctual, and capable of working independently
