Position Overview

This is a part-time temporary position for 20-25 hours weekly, providing clerical support to the HR Department. 

 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform the following essential functions satisfactorily:

  • Must be able to work under direct supervision, as well as, on own.
  • Handles confidential and sensitive information with poise, tact, and diplomacy Organize and schedule orientations, interviews, and lunches.
  • Compose and prepare routine correspondence.
  • Sort HR incoming Mail and scan, distribute, and file accordingly.
  • General filing, including documents of a sensitive and/or highly confidential nature. Creation of folders and filing systems.
  • Making copies of various materials as needed.
  • Update salary information in software for annual increases Updating spreadsheets.
  • First point of contact for external applicants. Organization of office and files.
  • Welcome interviews and new hires to the office. Assist with updating forms and PowerPoints.
  • Follow-up with managers to get specified paperwork returned from employees. Photocopies, scans and faxes information as needed or requested.

 

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must have the following knowledge, skills and abilities:

 

Education/Experience

  • Office clerk or administrative experience required.
  • Prior experience in HR environment preferred.

 

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

  • Proficient with Microsoft Office Suite, (Excel, Outlook, Word and PowerPoint).
  • Proficiency in the use of standard office equipment such as printers, faxes, scanners, etc. Excellent interpersonal skills and a positive attitude
  • Excellent communications skills
  • Strong organizational skills, time management, attention to detail, and documentation skills A high degree of discretion, judgement, tact, and poise.
  • Strong attention to detail and organization skills.
  • Demonstrated capacity to work well both autonomously and as part of a team
