Maintenance Supervisor - Metcalfe, ON

Permacon, a CRH Company, is a leader and pioneer in the manufacturing of concrete masonry and landscaping products.  Permacon is a division of Oldcastle APG and operates 9 plants in Ontario and Quebec. 

We are currently looking for Maintenance Supervisor at our Metcalfe plant, Southern Ottawa.

Reporting to the Operations Director of the Metcalfe site, the Maintenance Supervisor will have the following responsibilities:

• Apply company policies and procedures to maintain a safe, harmonious, and efficient work environment
• Participate in Health and Safety activities
• Planning the maintenance of machines and equipment
• Managing maintenance budgets 
• Follow up on repairs and plan machine shutdowns 
• Managing the site maintenance team
• Analyze downtime reports 
• Establishing and optimizing parts inventory management 
• Any other tasks related to the position

Qualifications and requirements 
 

• Safety oriented
• Minimum experience of 5 years in industrial setup as a supervisor in a unionized environment
• Technical diploma (an asset)
• Excellent problems solving skills
• Wide knowledge of mechanical, hydraulics, pneumatics and electrical systems
• Teamwork and communication skills 
• Initiative and sense of urgency
