What you’ll be contributing: 

 

  • Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines. 

Corporate Social Responsibility

  • Provide leadership in administering CRH’s safety, health, and environmental policies
  • Engage and inspire employees towards the establishment and maintenance of a positive safety culture.
  • Understand OH&S standards and performance objectives/targets.
  • Lead and manage appropriate programs/activities to ensure compliance with applicable company policies and legislative laws and regulations.

 

Sustainable Environmental Performance

  • Understand and operate in accordance with company programs, policies and legislative requirements to ensure that environmental standards and performance objective targets are met.

 

Better Cost Management

  • Optimize overall equipment effectiveness at the lowest sustainable cost of maintenance
  • Develop maintenance budget and be accountable for results based on defined Key Performance Indicators
  • Plan major maintenance projects and develop capital investment recommendations for the plant
  • Manage capital and maintenance projects
  • Maintain all plant systems and equipment
  • Organize and lead the organizational unit/operations to ensure efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.
  • Lead the workforce to ensure efficiency, quality, service, and cost-effective management of resources.
  • Forecast and manage budgets; Monitor, measure and report on operational issues; Analyze results and initiate appropriate action to achieve/exceed business objectives and targets.
  • Build effective partnerships with other organizational units and shared services to maximize best practices to achieve operational excellence.

 

Permanent Marketing Innovation

  • Responsible for electrical, mechanical, and specialized maintenance, engineering, and general plant services
  • Utilization of project management methodology for plant operating improvements and facility management
  • Develop and implement a strong reliability-centered maintenance program
  • Develop innovative strategies to improve departmental initiatives and ensure continuous improvement.

 

Human Resource Excellence

  • Responsible for training, development and involvement of maintenance personnel within all areas of the plant
  • Provide leadership, guidance, and direction for the maintenance organization in a manner consistent with company values, and ensure alignment with plant and company goals
  • Create a high performance environment through “engaged” employees; Champion and conduct effective performance management; Coach and develop management capability for continued organizational effectiveness.
  • Support HR programs and policies.
  • Additional duties as assigned by supervisor. 

 

To succeed in this position, you will need:

 

  • Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc.
  • Minimum of a Bachelor's degree required, engineering or related field is strongly preferred
  • Minimum 5 years of combined management level and cement industry experience in a supervisory/managerial role
  • Proficient with computers, especially Microsoft software products, AutoCAD and SAP
  • Knowledge of maintenance planning and systems implementation
  • Good understanding of and experience with reliability centered maintenance and condition monitoring.
