Position Summary

 

CRH seeks an accomplished investor relations professional to lead its Investor Relations (IR) efforts in North America. Reporting to the global head of Investor Relations, the successful candidate will be entrusted with supporting the Head of IR in formulating and executing the Investor Relations strategy specifically tailored towards U.S. investors and equity analysts. Duties include critical involvement in the quarterly earnings process, preparation of presentations, press releases, regulatory filings, Q&A, and closely collaborating with the IR team.

 

Additionally, the role includes planning and execution of significant investor-facing activities, including investor/analyst days, non-deal roadshows, and other investor meetings. This leader will develop and present materials for investor meetings, establish and maintain trusted relationships with North American investors and analysts, serve as a pivotal point of contact for queries, and continuously update their knowledge on the company and industry trends.

 

This role will be based out of the CRH office in New York and provides the opportunity for career growth and advancement in a dynamic and growing global enterprise.

Reports to- Global Head of Investor Relations, Tom Holmes

 

Direct reports - Will collaborate with a small team of investor relations professionals in the U.S. and Ireland

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Support the Head of IR in the development and implementation of the Investor Relations strategy in North America.

  • Play a key role in the quarterly earnings process, including preparation of presentations, press releases, regulatory filings, Q&A, and other materials in close partnership with the IR Team.

  • Plan and execute other key investor facing activities including investor / analyst days, non-deal roadshows and other investor meetings.

  • Develop and present materials for investor meetings, including presentations, briefing materials and Q&A documents.

  • Build trusted relationships and confidence with investors and analysts in North America.

  • Serve as a key point of contact for queries from the investor and analyst community.

  • Maintain strong company and sector expertise, including analysis of comparable companies and peer earnings reviews.

Job Requirements

 

  • 10+ years of experience in IR, corporate finance, capital markets, or a related field.

  • Deep understanding of US listing rules and regulatory environment, combined with hands-on experience in corporate finance and capital markets.

  • Record of success in a collaborative global environment with diverse stakeholders and viewpoints.

  • Proven ability to build relationships of trust and confidence with corporate leaders, investors and equity analysts.

  • Experience drafting, designing and creating investor presentations, press releases, reports and speeches.

  • Excellent presentation and communication skills and experience speaking and presenting to groups of investors and capital markets professionals.

  • Strong financial, analytical and quantitative background and experience with financial modeling.

  • Experience with market-based research tools (Bloomberg, FactSet, etc.)

  • Bachelor degree in finance, economics or a related field required. Professional qualification (CFA / ACA or equivalent) would be an advantage.
