Position Overview

The Compensation Analysts designs, administers, and analyzes compensation programs, including base pay, bonuses, and pay structures, to support recruitment, retention and engagement. This role ensures compliance with company policies and industry standards while advising HR and managers on effective pay decisions.

 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

The duties and responsibilities include but are not limited to the following:

Compensation Program Administration

  • Evaluate jobs and develop and maintain job descriptions and job architecture
  • Participate in compensation survey and conduct research and analysis on market competitiveness, pay equity and compensation trends
  • Provide guidance to HR and management on compensation-related matters
  • Ensure compliance with national and divisional compensation policies

Annual Compensation Cycle & Compliance

  • Lead the annual compensation cycle in collaboration with the national and division team
  • Assist with the review and implementation of compensation structure and adjustments
  • Provide support for Total Rewards Team (TRT) communication across the West Division HR and Management teams

Additional Support

  • Conduct research and analysis to support compensation strategies
  • Review job leveling data to align with future growth opportunities

 

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

Education and Experience

 

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required; Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Finance or related field is preferred
  • Experience in compensation analysis, job evaluation and pay structure development
  • Intermediate to advanced Excel skills and/or query expertise
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills

 

Work Requirements

  • Travel will involve less than 10% travel across the West Division

Work Environment

This position operates in a professional remote/hybrid work environment. The role requires access to a reliable internet connection. While the majority of responsibilities can be completed remotely, occasional in-office meetings or team events may be required based on business needs.
