Position Overview

The Training & Development Director responsibilities include management, creation and implementation of Division and Corporate-level training and development programs.

 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Create, coordinate, and manage training curriculum design and development.
  • Direct, manage and coordinate execution of Global Frontline Leadership Program.
  • Support the continued evolution of the Human Performance culture.
  • Direct, manage and coordinate the Catalyst and FranklinCovey Development Programs.
  • Lead and participate in program steering committees to support, develop, implement, and ensure execution and continuation.
  • Support, coach, develop and certify champions, facilitators, and coaches.
  • Collaborate with and support National Talent and Learning & Development teams.
  • Develop and oversee the New Hire Orientation process.
  • Conduct training needs analysis and recommend courses of action to meet training and development needs.
  • Collaborate with peers and leaders to evaluate and obtain feedback to revise the programs as needed.
  • Clear communication of LMS, internal, external, and other development course catalogs & opportunities.
  • Develop and maintain strong cross functional relationships with all areas and lines of business.
  • Facilitate and/or support facilitation of courses, both in-person and virtual.
  • Work closely with and support the recruitment team on programs to recruit and develop new talent.
  • Act as the Division Subject Matter Expert, provide support for, and manage the Division’s use of the Learning Management System, Success Factors. 
  • Participate, collaborate, and communicate with local and national associations. 

 

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

 

Education/Experience

Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience

Facilitation skills in an in-person and virtual classroom setting

 

Work Requirements

5-7 years business experience, preferably in construction or related industry

2-4 years training and development experience; including content creation and delivery.

Travel requirement: 30-40% Mostly divisionally.

 

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

Excellent interpersonal, verbal, and written communication skills; fluency in Spanish is a plus.

Knowledge and experience with application of adult learning methodology

Demonstrable organizational and project management background

Work Environment

This will be in a standard office environment. The noise level in the work environment is usually quiet to moderate. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is rarely exposed to wet and/or humid conditions; moving mechanical parts; outside weather conditions; and extreme cold and/or heat.
