We are seeking a qualified, safety-minded, detail oriented, highly organized individual with strong computer and communication skills to work as an Accounting Manager. This position reporting to the Controller offers a significant level of personal ownership, growth and leadership potential. The desired candidate will embrace a team concept when completing assigned tasks along with a strong commitment to do whatever is necessary to perform high quality work, meet deadlines and finish assigned tasks.

Key Responsibilities

· Support the Controller on new accounting policies, initiatives and annual audits.

· Assist with monthly and quarterly financial close process - journal entries, variance analysis, and post-close financial reporting.

· Prepare account reconciliations and allocations monthly while maintaining balance sheet reconciliations.

· Manage fixed asset and lease activities including setup, maintenance, disposals and reporting.

· Review and analyze FOH costs throughout overhead departments and participate in FOH budget preparation.

· Assists with site audits and controls/SOX compliance testing.

· Manage various local, state, and federal government reporting requirements and filings.

· Any other duties as assigned.

 

Education/Experience

· Bachelor’s Degree required.

· Minimum of 5 years of accounting experience required and 2 years supervisory experience preferred.

· Manufacturing or construction accounting background preferred.

· The ability to interact with employees at every level of the organization.

· Self-Motivated

· Advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge.

· Strong work ethic and positive attitude.

· Business acumen in manufacturing, distribution and/or construction operations.

· Versed in accounting principles, policies, and procedures.

· Knowledgeable and experienced in using computerized accounting systems.

· Proficient in Microsoft Office, Excel, Word, and Outlook.

· The ability to deal with ambiguity and facilitate change.

· Ability to get along well with a diverse staff of employees.

· Thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.

· Work independently without constant supervision.

 

Work Requirements

· Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check.

· Display a professional and courteous attitude to co-workers, supervisors and the general public at all times.

· Willing to travel and work away from home when required.

· Willing to work nights and weekends when necessary.

· Report to the office dressed appropriately and ready to begin work at the designated start time.

· Strict adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook.

· Willingness to work in a team environment and assist co-workers or supervisors with other duties as required.

· Must have the ability to work without close supervision.

 

Physical Requirements

· Able to stand, walk, use hands and fingers to manipulate objects, talk and hear.

· Vision abilities (with correction) include close, distance, peripheral, depth, and the ability to adjust focus.

· The employee is frequently required to sit and use hands.

· The employee is occasionally required to stand and walk.

 

 

Work Environment

· Standard office environment.

· Tempo is fast-paced with deadlines.

· The noise level in some areas of the work environment may be moderate.
