Position Overview

As the Asset Manager, you are accountable for setting the vision and directing strategy execution of managing and monitoring all equipment for all operations .

Roles and Responsibilities 

(Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Defines and executes and maintains asset management strategies and associated data analytics outcomes.
  • Analyzes operational data and equipment performance history to deliver improvements in critical maintenance related metrics including: Reliability, Life cycle analysis, PM effectiveness, MRO turns, downtime analysis, Mean-Time-Between-Failures, and R&M  related costs.
  • Develops and implements strategies that accelerate and improve current maintenance practices and processes to improve equipment performance, reliability, and lower repair costs.
  • Leverage company experience/experts to advance current maintenance, reliability and asset management efforts.
  • Support the development of multiyear, continuous, site maintenance improvement programs aligned with our overall business strategy.
  • Develops Maintenance OpEx and CapEx budgets.
  • Work with business leaders to prepare and validate department budgets as it relates to their fixed and mobile equipment.
  • Ability to juggle multiple projects while maintaining quality and productivity. Exceptional attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Regular and timely attendance is required

Marginal Duties and Functions

  • Perform business management duties such as maintaining records and files, preparing reports and ordering supplies and equipment.
  • Act as liaison between Tilcon NY and CRH.
  • Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to translate business requirements into technical solutions.

Qualifications 

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. 

Education/Experience

Required

  • High School diploma or General Education Degree (GED) with 10 years+ of practical work experience in Equipment Management.
  • Must have a strong background in math and science and strong problem solving abilities.
  • High level of proficiency with all Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, Outlook, and PowerPoint.
  • Experience managing and developing others.
  • Experience setting strategies for execution through teams.
  • Experience in leading Asset Management, Reliability and Maintenance improvement programs in a large complex utility environment.

Preferred

  • Bachelor’s degree (B.S. or B.E.) from a four year college or university in finance or economics.
  • Working knowledge of various database programs including Viewpoint, Proactis & CMMS.

Work Requirements 

  • Ability to read English language sufficiently to understand information contained in specifications, reports, manuals and regulations.  
  • Ability to effectively present information through all levels of the organization.
  • Thorough knowledge and understanding of operating procedures and mechanics of all our LOB’s operations and mobile equipment.
  • Knowledge of applicable federal, state and local regulations pertaining to, but not limited to, safety, the environment and transportation.
  • Ability to detect safety hazards and malfunctions and respond accordingly.
  • Must be willing to travel and work away from home when required.
  • Strict adherence to safety requirements and company procedures as outlined in the Employee Handbook. 
  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends when required. 
  • Required to wear personal protective equipment (PPE) in designated areas as stated by OSHA and/or MSHA. Protective equipment that may be required, but not limited to, for this position is: Face Shield, Safety Glasses, Safety (hard toe) Shoes, Dust masks & Hearing Protection. 
  • In role, expectation is to be savvy in Project Management, Viewpoint, Proactis & CMMS.

This job will require both office work and field work. While performing the duties of this job, the employee occasionally works near moving mechanical parts and in outside weather conditions and is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment in the office is usually quiet.
