Detail-oriented team player needed to ensure our customers are invoiced correctly every day.

 

Position Overview/Impact

Responsible for preparing itemized statements, bills, or invoices used for billing.  Assist Inside Sales team with daily administration.  Completing ticket corrections and miscellaneous billing.  Ensure our customers are invoiced correctly the first time.

 

Core Responsibilities

  • Strictly adheres to and promotes environmental, health, safety and training policies, procedures and requirements as outlined in company policies. 
  • Types and/or reproduces reports, forms, correspondence, or other material-tracking usage to adjust inventories for billing purposes.
  • Prepares reports from different sources involving tabulations or posted data and simple mathematical calculations.
  • Process daily corrections received from various departments
  • Process billing of daily cash reconciliations.
  • Process credit and rebills.
  • Run reports to assure accuracy prior to invoicing.
  • Indexes records and information.
  • Prepare weekly invoices and monthly statements.
  • Proofreads all work for accuracy.
  • Assists other departments as requested or assigned.

 

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

 

Required Education/Experience/Skills

  • High School diploma or equivalent with coursework in finance or accounting.
  • Two years of relevant work experience.
  • Must display strong attention to detail, organizational skills and produce work of a high standard.
  • Must be computer literate with knowledge of Microsoft Office; experience in accounting or business specific software.
  • Must demonstrate strong numerical skills, accurate data entry and the ability to analyze data for discrepancies and draw solutions-orientated conclusions. 
  • Individual must possess a working knowledge and understanding of accounting concepts, including P&L’s and relevant balance sheet accounts.
  • Ability to maintain accurate records and files.
  • Displays a professional and courteous attitude at all times. 
  • Must be willing to work nights and weekends when required (additional hours may be required at month-end close).
  • Working knowledge of English and Math, office practices and procedures.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with and work professionally with other personnel, conveying and exchanging ideas, and giving and receiving detailed verbal instructions.
  • Ability to deal effectively with questions or problems, seeking assistance when needed.
  • Exhibit professionalism and team-oriented attitude.

 

Preferred Education/Experience/Skills

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent form of a four year college; or equivalent in years of related experience or training
  • Work experience with focus in accounting and accounts payable function.

This job will require office work and may require field work. While performing the duties of this job, the employee may occasionally work near moving mechanical parts, noise, and in outside weather conditions.  They may occasionally be exposed to dusty, muddy, wet and/or humid conditions. The noise level in the work environment in the office is usually quiet.  This employee is expected to continuously work with others.
