Job Summary

 

The Accounting Manager reports to the Regional VP of Finance and shares responsibility for all areas relating to financial reporting. This position includes general ledger preparation, financial reporting, support on month-end closing procedures, support on SOX compliance, support with budgeting and forecasting.

  • This is an onsite role based in Phoenix, AZ

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Maintain a thorough understanding of the financial reporting and general ledger structure
  • Ensure accurate and timely monthly, quarterly and year end closings
  • Track and maintain fixed asset and leasing schedules
  • Ensure account reconciliations and closings are completed accurately and timely
  • Collaborate with Site Managers, Finance Director and Sales VP to accomplish business goals for a growing company in a booming industry
  • Provide training and development for staff in finance management, budgeting, SOX compliance and any other needs identified in the department
  • Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

 

Job Requirements

 

  • 5+ plus years prior experience in corporate accounting, public accounting or manufacturing
  • Competent in standard cost accounting/manufacturing
  • Excellent interpersonal skills: the ability to establish and maintain effective relationships with employees and managers
  • Accounting/Finance degree preferred - CPA or CPA candidate
  • Proficient in MS Office – especially Excel
  • Strong organizational, analysis, problem-solving, and critical reasoning skills
  • Ability to take the initiative and work independently
  • Ability to travel up to 25%
