Job Summary

 

The Assistant Controller/Business Analyst will support the finance team and business leaders with an emphasis on cost accounting, pricing and financial analysis.

 

  • Supports the Vice President of Finance, Operations, and Sales Teams
  • Responsible for maintenance and analysis of inventory standard costs
  • Responsible for maintenance and analysis of product pricing and customer discounts
  • Analyzes manufacturing variances
  • Assist in ongoing process improvement and automation
  • Financial Accounting Responsibility – Month end close and SOX control compliance

 

Requirements

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related major or equivalent experience
  • 3+ years’ experience with standard costing and or financial analysis
  • Moderate - advanced Microsoft Excel knowledge to include Pivot Tables, formula application and some macros
  • A professional acumen – work well with department leads, as well as peers.

 

Preferences

 

  • Production manufacturing experience
  • ERP experience; specifically, Lawson
  • Experience with manufacturing costing
  • Experience with forecasting/ Excel modeling
  • Experience with GL account reconciliations
  • Product pricing and margin analysis experience
  • Preparation and review of performance metrics
  • Preparation of ad-hoc financial analysis for senior management
