We are seeking experienced Ready Mix Drivers for our South Florida operations in Punta Gorda, FL.

Primary Job Function: Driving to and from plant and work sites. However, in between, the driver must hose down their rig to keep it clean. The driver also must walk on uneven and slippery surfaces at the work sites and at the plant.

Primary responsibility is to to ensure Health & Safety standards are met by complying with legislation, company policies and promoting a safe work environment driving concrete mixer to work sites and discharge load. This is in a variety of settings and conditions including uneven ground, and may require unloading and attaching extension chutes weighing 30 - 50 pounds to end of primary chute. Must be familiar with delivering to: operating paver, roller, broom tractor, concrete curb/gutter machine for purpose of loading/unloading, etc. May perform other related duties.

May be exposed to extremes of hot or cold weather. Overtime is required. Adheres to Company safety policy and rules at all times.The job duties described herein are not exhaustive and may be supplemented.

Qualifications:

Must be able to Read, Write, and Communicate effectively.

Experience 2 years of related experience or training.
Class A or B drivers license with current medical card (or ability to obtain one).
No DUI’s within the last 3 years.
Minimal moving violations.
Able to lift or move up to 50 pounds.
Good interpersonal skills. Ability to establish and maintain respectful relationships with other staff.
Ability to read and interpret written information such as safety rules, sales tickets, operating instructions, and procedure manuals.

Preference: forklift certified
