Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Assists in managing Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS) to ensure accuracy of data.
  • Partner with hiring managers and other HR personnel to assist with recruiting activities such as reviewing job descriptions, conducting intake calls with hiring managers, posting jobs, answering candidate inquiries, reviewing and screening candidates, scheduling interviews, facilitating candidate communication, etc.
  • Assist in external marketing of job opportunities (Indeed, Facebook, Handshake, newspaper, billboards, maintaining company job boards, etc.), providing creative solutions when needed.
  • Proactively markets the organization as a great place to work; builds relationships with universities, schools and community organizations to develop and maintain recruiting pipelines for qualified candidates.
  • Research, organize, and attend career fairs. Attend various local community events.
  • Assists and provide support to regional HR team in implementation of regional recruiting strategic plans.
  • Responsible for completing Payroll SOX Compliance audit weekly to verify accuracy & authorization of all NW Region employee changes.
  • Assist with HR administration including but not limited to: answering employee inquiries, leave of absence coordination, employee file maintenance, data entry (new hires/re-hires, terminations, employee changes, training records, DOT information).
  • Provides outstanding customer service and HR support to all employees to achieve compliance with all HR policies and procedures.
  • As proficiency is gained, may assist with internal HR/Recruiting training.
  • Actively protects confidential information.

  • Regular and timely attendance.

Qualifications

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

 

Required Education, Experience & Skills

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.
  • Proficient with PC programs, and MS Office Suite (Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint).
  • Valid driver’s license required.
  • Ability to provide excellent customer service to both internal and external customers.
  • Proven self-starter with a strong sense of urgency and work ethic. Ability to self-manage.
  • Ability to ask for and offer help when needed.
  • Ability to build relationships at all levels within the organization.
  • Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out detailed written or oral instructions.

 

Preferred Education, Experience & Skills

  • HR/Recruiting experience a plus.
  • A basic or general understanding of recruiting concepts (extracurricular or professional) is a plus.
  • Ability to think creatively and find innovative solutions to meet business needs.
  • HRIS, and/or ATS software experience a plus but not required.

 

Work Requirements

  • Must pass pre-employment controlled substance testing including marijuana.
  • Ability to work remotely with limited supervision and be effective in a virtual environment when required.
  • Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
  • Ability to do basic math.
  • Full Time Schedule general work time is from 8 AM to 5 PM, Monday thru Friday. The ability to work away from home when required. Must be willing to travel and work nights and weekends when necessary.
  • Adherence to safety requirements and procedures as outlined in the Safety Manual.
  • Adherence to company, regional, divisional and CRH policies and procedures.
  • Adherence to federal, state and local regulations.

Work Environment

  • Primarily in office setting.
  • Limited local travel within a 5-hour radius.
  • Occasional overnight travel within the Pacific Northwest (OR, WA, ID, MT).
  • The employee is occasionally exposed to wet and/or humid outside weather conditions; and extreme cold and/or heat.
