Summary

 

The Southern Atlantic Region of AMAT’s South Division seeks to recruit an External Sales Manager/ Business Development Contact for its operations of APAC-Atlantic, Inc in GA/SC.   As a Functional Manager, the successful candidate will be responsible for the effective management of aggregate and asphalt sales, and client relations.

 

Essential duties and responsibilities include, but are not limited to the following

 

  • Possess comprehensive knowledge of materials, products and services
  • Develop and strengthen customer base including FOB and other sales.
  • Provide accurate pricing of products based on given cost factors for bids.
  • Participate in AR collections of all External Sales accounts
  • Retain knowledge of market conditions and competitors’ activities.
  • Fulfill needs and services by providing high level of service to all customers.
  • Communicate Daily with Operations Manager and Asphalt Plant Manager team.
  • Gather Market Intelligence on asphalt paving and aggregate sales opportunities for hand off to estimating.  Attend meetings, visit engineers, develop relationships within the operating footprint.

 

Education/Experience

 

  • Bachelor’s Degree; and five or more years of related experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
  • Strong math, mechanical and computer skills with problem solving ability.
  • Advanced Level MS Excel, MS Word, and PowerPoint
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Self-starter with high level of self-confidence and energy.
