Job Summary

 

The QC Coordinator is responsible for performing routine tests as required on raw materials, in process components and final products. This individual will participate in the validation of tests, inspections, processing methods and materials qualifications. This position requires the employee to perform a wide variety of Quality Control functions.

 

Job Responsibilities

 

  • Keep the plant in compliance with EH&S regulations
  • Perform Silica testing to keep us in compliance required by OSHA Conduct
  • Perform daily compressive strength testing of hardened concrete specimens
  • Monitor production operations as required
  • Assist when necessary with strip, setup, and pouring of products
  • Perform daily pre/post pour inspections on products
  • Notify supervisor of nonconforming product or problems with machine, materials, etc.

  • Communicate production issues with plant Supervisor as needed

  • Review product for inconsistencies or abnormal appearance assuring product meets quality requirements

  • Other duties and responsibilities may be assigned as needed

 

Job Requirements

 

  • High school degree required; Associates Degree preferred
  • Ability to read and interpret instructions and operations manuals and follow step by step instructions
  • Adequate computer skills
  • Ability to lift objects weighing up to 50 pounds each
  • Experience with lab and testing procedures preferred
  • Experience with safety programs and compliance
  • Some experience working in a manufacturing environment preferred
  • Some mechanical aptitude or experience with production processing equipment preferred
  • Some experience working with EH&S programs/agencies
  • Endure intermittent bending, crouching, pushing, pulling, stooping and reaching
  • Standing for extended period of time
