Working with the Northwest Region, which includes operating companies across 5 states (WA, OR, ID, MT, CA), you’ll perform operational accounting functions by collaborating with cross-functional teams to ensure our equipment and capital projects are properly set up and maintained. You’ll perform and assist with a wide variety of tasks including capital project setup & tracking, accounting of our equipment, and financial reporting and analysis. Each day will provide you with new problems to solve, and you’ll be empowered to find new and creative solutions. 

 

The ideal candidate will be skilled in both transactional and operational accounting, highly proficient in Excel utilization, and have experience leading with others. They will be able to communicate effectively with a diverse group of internal and external customers and be a motivated self-starter with a strong desire to learn. What You Can Do (Minimum Qualifications)

Minimum Required Qualifications:

  • A Bachelor's degree in accounting, business, finance, or closely related field.
  • 2+ years accounting experience in manufacturing or closely related industry.
  • Proficient computer skills required to include ERP software, Word, Outlook.
  • Advanced Excel skills required including queries and formulas.
  • Knowledge of accounting policies and procedures for GMP and US GAAP.
  • Excellent communication (oral, written) and presentation skills.
  • High standards of ethics, integrity, and trust.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ever-changing environment.
  • Detailed-oriented with excellent organizational skills.
  • A current authorization to work in the United States, and can pass pre-employment controlled-substance testing.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Set up jobs and assist with tracking of capital projects for the Northwest Region.
  • Work with capital project application throughout the fiscal cycle from budget to reporting. 
  • Prepare corporate reports relating to capital project spend.
  • Assist Equipment Controller with capital project tasks and functions when needed.  
  • Complete equipment accounting relating to expense, revenue, and accruals ensuring equipment-related costs are accurately reflected in the Financial Statements.
  • Oversight of equipment accounting and related tasks performed by accounting specialists.
  • Responsible for rental accounting, ensuring its accuracy, collaborating with department staff to ensure seamless operations, and analyzing final output.
  • Prepare monthly reporting, and ad-hoc reports, and complete financial analysis of data for senior management review.
  • Effectively communicate and collaborate with colleagues across operations and accounting departments to ensure accurate information is received and issues are resolved in a timely manner.
  • Assure the assigned daily operations are carried out in accordance with established accounting principles, policies, and objectives.
  • Strict adherence to Sarbanes-Oxley and company policies.
