Position: Maintenance Clerk
Reports to: Electrical Maintenance Manager

Shift: Monday-Friday 7:00am - 3:30pm ET

What you'll be contributing:

• Prepares and processes work orders and inspections for preventive maintenance, oiler routes, and repair needed on plant equipment. Works under general supervision with standard procedures, guidelines, and practices.  Refers to problems to supervisor.
• Prepares and initiates processing of work orders for preventive maintenance, oiler routes, and repair work needed.  Monitors status prepares and initiates reports of each preventative maintenance work order.  Requisitions and documents receipt of non-stock spare parts as requested by maintenance dept. leadership.
• Records time and cost associated with completing the job on each preventative maintenance work order.  Monitors the status of each work order.
• Processes paperwork needed to document new and old equipment numbers and descriptions.   Prepares, documents, and processes preventive maintenance inspections on plant equipment. 
• Records and processes maintenance schedules and time sheets.
• Prepares bottles for oil sampling and shipment to the laboratory.
• Prepares and types various maintenance reports such as Over Due Preventative Maintenance Work Orders and monthly maintenance cost key performance indicators.
• Performs miscellaneous filing, computer operations, etc. as needed.
• Maintains and orders maintenance office supplies.

To succeed in this position, you will need:

• H.S. Diploma / GED
• General office practices and policies.
• SAP-PM work order management and requisition management - preferred
• Proficient in English written and verbal communication skills
• Strong verbal communication and listening skills
• Excellent organizational skills
• Ability to operate a computer, enter data and generate reports

What to expect in a cement environment:

Work to be performed in a shop environment as well as outdoor exposure throughout the plant. Mild exposure to cement dust, heat, cold, and noise require compliance with specified safety guidelines and procedures. Exposure to high elevations of up to 250 feet in height. Exposure to all weather conditions. Normal operation of mobile equipment may result in jarring and vibratory exposure.
