Position: Mobile Maintenance Technician
Reports to: Quarry Supervisor
Shift: 7:00-3:30
Pay: $23-32/hr

Summary:
Safely performs all aspects of mobile equipment maintenance. Both routine PM’s and repairs, to ensure the equipment remains in the best possible working condition for the plant and Quarry.
What you’ll be contributing:
- Promote and follow all plant safety guidelines.
- Puts safe completion of any job as the absolute first priority.
- Work closely with quarry supervisor.
- Familiar with maintenance and operation of draglines, frontend loaders, Track hoes, haul trucks, crushers, belt conveyors, and skid steers loaders.
- Maintain equipment according to scheduled maintenance program. Oil and grease when necessary.
- Additional duties as assigned by supervisor
To succeed in this position, you will need:
- High school graduation or equivalent is required
- Minimum 3 years of related experience and or training; or equivalent combination of education and training
- Conduct necessary training such as MSHA and specific job training.
- Knowledge of heavy equipment maintenance preferred.
- Ability to define problems, collect data, establish facts, and draw valid conclusions.
- Ability to perform tasks that include walking, climbing equipment, working within confined spaces and frequently lift 50lbs or occasionally lifting 75 lbs.
- Ability to read, write and understand warning labels, instructions, signs, etc. Willingness to learn, training will be provided
- Mechanical – Detailed knowledge of Diesel engines/Hydraulics and electrical systems, machines and tools, including their uses, repair of, and maintenance.
- Welding/cutting and fabricating
- Ability to perform tasks that include, standing, walking, climbing equipment, and working within confined spaces to inspect and perform maintenance on equipment.
- Ability to add, subtract, multiply and divide in all units of measure. Ability to compute rate, ratio and percent.
- Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, procedures, short correspondence and memos.
- Fluent in English in order to, effectively present information in one-on-one and small group situations with employees or clients of another organization.
What to expect in a cement environment:
Work to be performed in a shop environment as well as outdoor exposure throughout the plant. Mild exposure to cement dust, heat, cold, and noise requires compliance with specified safety guidelines and procedures. Exposure to high elevations of up to 250 feet in height. Exposure to all weather conditions. Normal operation of mobile equipment may result in jarring and vibratory exposure.
