What You’ll Do
In this role, you’ll be testing samples of aggregates, concrete, and asphalt to ensure that only the best quality materials are used. You’ll play an integral part as we stand together to reinvent the way our world is built.

The ideal candidate will have basic math and algebra skills and a high standard of ethics and integrity.
Location: The Dalles. Must also be willing to travel to our various site locations in the Columbia Gorge area as needed for testing our products.
Shift: M-F, 7am-3pm. Hours vary based on business demands.
Wage: $24 - $30/HR, DOE
What You Can Do (Minimum Qualifications)
- The ability to obtain all applicable Quality Control Technician certifications during initial training, which will require basic math, algebra, and motivation to learn all essential information.
- Possess a high school diploma or general education degree (GED).
- Possess a valid driver’s license.
- Willingness to travel to various site locations in the Columbia Gorge Area.
- Have a high standard of ethics and integrity.
- Demonstrate good performance, safety, and attendance.
- Demonstrate ability to communicate effectively with all departments and customers on the phone and in person.
- Demonstrate the ability to work independently, without direct supervision.
- Demonstrate a willingness to work nights, overtime, and weekends as needed.
- Demonstrate strong written and oral communication skills.
- Demonstrate organizational and time management skills.
- Must pass physical exam and pre-employment controlled substance testing.
- Must have current US Authorization to work or ability to obtain without company assistance prior to start date.
Preferred Requirements
- Previous related experience in Quality Control and/or construction environment preferred.

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)
- Safely and efficiently collect samples from concrete or aggregate plants, and various job sites.
- Perform field tests for density or other properties.
- Promptly report non-compliant tests to project superintendent when applicable.
- Process samples using a variety of testing equipment and procedures.
- Record data and enter information into computer systems.
- Communicate with plant staff.
- Perform general clean-up and maintenance duties as assigned.
- Other tasks and duties as assigned to meet business needs.
- Promptly communicate with supervisors on any flaws in material.
- Take action to avoid potential hazards or obstructions.
- Regular and timely attendance.
