Job Title: Talent Acquisition Manager  - CRH Canada

Position Summary:

Reporting to the VPHR at CRH Canada and having a dotted line with the Director of Talent Acquisition in the North Region, the incumbent will be responsible for managing and leading all recruitment strategies and tactics for CRH Canada’s lines of business. The incumbent will take initiative and exercise independent thinking, while performing daily responsibilities.

The position could be located in the Greater Toronto (Concord, Mississauga, Oakville) area or in the Greater Montreal Area (Longueuil, Laval), providing the incumbent is willing to travel to our various work locations.

Essential Job Responsibilities:

  • Develop and implement Recruitment strategies and tactics that would enable CRH Canada to attract and Retain best talents and would align with strategic goals and supports HR initiatives.
  • Build and manage a team of Recruiters to find top talent in operations, sales and functional disciplines.
  • Manage the creative sourcing and screening of candidates (Management, Professionals and Skilled-Trades) to present to internal management for open positions and manage reference and background checks
  • Review and improve current processes related to sourcing, recruiting and onboarding activities by continuously researching on the latest methods of recruitment advertising and innovative sourcing techniques
  • Stay informed of trends and innovative recruiting techniques to attract and compete for top talent in the market.
  • Work with executive leadership teams to proactively build an annual workforce plan, based on upcoming talent needs for the business
  • Oversee and manage recruitment budget/forecasting, ensuring accuracy and accountability for overall resource management.
  • Manage Career Fairs, University and College Career Fairs and other on-campus networking events 
  • Utilizes networking, cold calling, Internet searching and strategic job ad placement
  • Develops and approves offer letters as necessary by maintaining internal equity
  • Coordinate onboarding process and perform onboarding activities
  • Establish develop and track metrics (such as Time-to-hire and vacancy data) on hiring and onboarding that are in line with CRH product groups and best practices and will increase retention
  • Customizes the application tracking system for maximum efficiency in identifying candidates and to increase proper candidate flow to the management team
  • Performs other duties as assigned

 

Criteria:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business, Human Resources, Communications, or related field
  • 7+ years of high-volume recruiting experience, with agency or corporate recruitment environment including a minimum of 3 years in a management role
  • Proven Track record of using best recruiting / Onboarding strategies and tactics in order to attract and retain top talents
  • Excellent understating of the full cycle recruitment processes and best practices used in the Industry
  • Excellent time management and prioritization skills
  • Exposure to best practices related to Recruiting and Onboarding
  • Effectively juggle and manage varying requirements – must be a multi-tasker
  • Ability to effectively communicate
  • Customer-service orientation with high energy and passion
  • Strong understanding of the sense of urgency required to be successful in Operational and Corporate Recruitment environments
  • Excellent computer skills in Microsoft Office (word, excel, project)
  • Previous experience with Successfactors or similar ATS software preferred
  • Bilinguism (English and French is an asset)
