Position Overview:
The Claims Manager is responsible for enhancing the consistency of Workers Compensation, Auto Liability and General Liability claims’ management and Contract Risk across the region to protect people, assets, and operations while ensuring compliance with CRH standards and regulatory requirements. This role focuses on proactive identification, assessment, and mitigation of risks across claims management and contractual obligations, partnering with internal stakeholders to drive effective solutions.

 

Location: This role can be based anywhere within our Northeast Division, including NJ, NY, PA, MA, CT, ME, NH, VT, or RI. Occasional Travel may be required between the multiple locations across operating states.

 

Key Areas of Accountability Include:

  • Claims Management – Oversee Workers’ Compensation, Auto Liability, and General Liability claims through investigation, valuation, reserving, and resolution of both litigated and non-litigated matters. Collaborate with legal counsel and third-party administrators to achieve timely and cost-effective outcomes, leveraging influence and leadership to secure resolution results across the organization.
  • Contract Risk – Identify and assess contractual risks, lead initiatives to reduce operational and contractual exposure, and coach internal teams on risk assessment best practices.

 

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Partner with internal stakeholders, and legal counsel to drive effective claims outcomes.
  • Conduct contract risk assessments and implement improvements to mitigate exposure.
  • Coach internal teams on risk management principles and best practices.
  • Maintain standardization of contract systems, formats, and clauses in collaboration with procurement and operations.
  • Analyze safety and claims data to identify trends, root causes and, emerging risk exposures
  • Develop, monitor, and interpret key safety and claims performance metrics.
  • Translate complex claims and safety data into clear, actionable insights for operational and safety leaders.
  • Partner with safety leaders to review claims and incident trends and align prevention strategies with data-driven insights.
  • Use dashboards and reporting tools to communicate performance and support informed decision-making.
  • Ensure compliance with CRH standards and regulatory requirements.
  • Represent the company professionally in all interactions.
  • Perform other duties as assigned by management

OTHER REQUIREMENTS

  • Pass pre-employment drug screen and criminal background check.  
  • Be able to provide valid documentation for the I-9 Immigration document.  
  • Must have a valid driver’s license and safely drive a vehicle.

QUALIFICATIONS:

Education:  Bachelor's/University Degree

Additional Education Preferred:

Preferred field of study:  Finance, Risk Management, or related field of study or equivalent experience.

Work Experience:  5+ year’s experience

Computer Skills:  Technologically savvy, with a full understanding and fluency in computer applications including word processing, email, internet searches, database and presentation software (such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Acrobat Pro)
