Job Summary:

We are seeking a Financial Analyst to join our AMAT Northeast Division Financial Planning & Analysis (FP&A) team. This role, reporting to the Division FP&A Director, will support both strategic planning and operational finance functions, providing key insights through financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and data analysis to help drive quality and timely reporting.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Create and analyze weekly sales, production and ad-hoc financial reports and provide explanations
  • Conduct financial modeling, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting to support decision-making.
  • Assist with weekly Risk and Opportunities process for operating companies
  • Prepare and consolidate monthly flash/close including account checks.
  • Support / Review budgeting, forecast and strategic planning activities relative to Income Statement, Balance Sheet, Cash Flows, Capex and KPIs
  • Assist with the divisional month-end reporting package(s) and other month-end related deliverables (i.e.  Division Reporting Package(s), EBITDA, 1 Pagers, Variance Analysis, CFO Commentary)
  • Assist in researching macroeconomic and market data for the Northeast states.
  • Qualitative and quantitative analysis of budgets, forecasts, actual results and Ad Hoc projects to assist in management's review and decision making
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to drive financial efficiency and insights.
  • Contribute to improvements in accounting policies, procedures, and processes
  • Utilize software tools like Excel, SQL, Power BI, Tableau, Viewpoint, Sigma and Hyperion to analyze financial data.
  • Assist in special projects or assignments as requested.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Experience: 2-3 years in financial analysis, FP&A, or related field.
  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Economics, or related field. MBA, CFA, or CPA preferred.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel is a must, experience with SQL, Power BI, Tableau; Viewpoint, Hyperion, Sigma and SAP is a plus.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
  • Ability to work at a quick pace environment with strict deadlines

Work Environment & Benefits:

  • Reporting to: Division FP&A Director.
  • Work Setup: Hybrid (combination of remote and in-office work).
  • Some travel required
