Shop Assistant- Equipment

What you can expect:

• $24.00/hour and up depending on experience
• Annual increase potential
• Paid time off
• OT after 8 hours
• $1,000 Referral Bonuses- unlimited!

What you will do:

Purchasing and Filing:

• Create, via computer system, purchase orders for items being ordered.
• Update purchase orders when items are received.
• Assist in retrieval and distribution of parts as needed between shops and/or jobs via company vehicle.
• Maintain required purchase order files as required.
• Handle all parts returns/cores as required.
• Research and order parts as required to ensure mechanics receive parts in a timely manner.
• Assist local shop foreperson with other administrative duties as required.

Work Orders/Data Entry:

• Create work orders as needed for all equipment being repaired in either the field or the shop via computer system.
• Assist shop foreperson with data entry of vehicle condition reports (LMP-68) regarding mileage/hour meter updates and repairs needed.
• Maintain work order and vehicle condition report files.
• Assist shop foreperson as needed with planning and scheduling shop work load.

Parts Rooms/Inventory:

• Maintain inventory of required parts/supplies as determined by shop foreman.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of parts rooms as required.
• Load and unload freight as needed via company forklift.
• Assist in general housekeeping items as requested by shop foreman.
