Job Summary
The Project Lead Intern serves as a key team member supporting the customer experience from the point of sale to on-site delivery. Acting as a bridge between customers and internal teams, the intern will assist in ensuring smooth project coordination, on-time delivery, and customer satisfaction. The role offers hands-on experience in project management, communication, and cross-department collaboration within Oldcastle Infrastructure (OI) facilities.
Under the guidance of the Project Lead and other team members, the intern will learn how to coordinate with engineering, production, transportation, and customers to enhance OI’s goal of improving the “ease of doing business.”
This position is expected to start in person around May 2025 and continue through the entire summer term (i.e. through August 2025). We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time, onsite for most internships.
Job Responsibilities
- Assist the Project Lead in being the “voice of the customer” in OI facilities.
- Support the management of multiple sales orders concurrently.
- Participate in project kickoff meetings to review the scope of work, timelines, and customer requirements.
- Monitor project progress, assist in resolving potential issues, and communicate updates to the customer.
- Collaborate with engineering, production, finance, and transportation teams to ensure smooth project execution.
- Help prepare and track project documentation, including submittals, approvals, and change orders.
- Learn and assist in addressing customer concerns, schedule changes, or special requirements.
- Shadow team members to gain insights into production planning, transportation logistics, and customer service.
Job Requirements
- Sophomore or Junior currently pursuing a degree in Business, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field.
- Basic knowledge of MS Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
- Interest in learning about production schematics, engineering drawings, and project workflows.
- Strong organizational, time management, and communication skills. Ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines. Clear and concise communication, with a willingness to engage with team members and customers.

- Attention to Detail: Commitment to ensuring accuracy in project-related tasks and documentation.
