What You’ll Do

In this role, you’ll be testing samples of concrete and aggregate to ensure that high-quality materials are used in our products. You’ll apply your experience to deliver consistent, reliable results and play an essential part in building sustainable communities.

 

If you’re detail-oriented, experienced in concrete quality control, and enjoy working both independently and as part of a team, this role is for you. We’re looking for a candidate with 3-5 years of experience in concrete materials testing, with proven proficiency in field and lab testing methods. The ideal candidate will have strong math and analytical skills, a high standard of ethics and integrity, and the drive to contribute to our growing team.

Location: Windsor, CA. Must also be willing to travel to our various site locations in the North Bay Area as needed for testing our products.

 

Wage: $34 – 38/hr. DOE w/ potential for overtime.

 

Shift: Typically works M-F 8-10 hrs./day with occasional Saturdays, as needed.  

 

What You Can Do (Minimum Qualifications)

  • 3-5 years of experience in concrete testing
  • Strong math and analytical skills; proficiency with Microsoft Office and other PC programs
  • Demonstrated proficiency in field and lab testing procedures for concrete and aggregates
  • Current ACI Concrete Technician Certification (or ability to obtain within 6 months)
  • Strong communication skills with internal teams and external customers
  • Safety-oriented professional with reliable performance and attendance
  • Ability to work independently, prioritize tasks, and manage time effectively
  • Willingness to work overtime and weekends as needed  
  • Must pass physical exam and pre-employment controlled substance testing
  • Current U.S. Authorization to work or ability to obtain without company assistance prior to start date
  • Valid driver’s license

 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

  • Collect samples from concrete or aggregate plants
  • Performs field tests for density or other properties
  • Performs aggregate and concrete performance testing
  • Process and analyze samples using testing equipment and procedures
  • Accurately record and enter data into computer systems
  • Communicate test results promptly to supervisors, plant staff and when appropriate, customers
  • Identify material inconsistencies and communicate solutions
  • Assist with plant quality control efforts to ensure compliance with standards
  • Collaborate with production teams to improve material performance
  • Travel to and from various sites
  • Keep a clean, safe, and properly maintained work environment and follow all safety protocols
  • Perform general maintenance duties as assigned

  • VISION – 20/40 corrected vision to see moving safety hazards, moving equipment, vehicles, and obstructions
  • HEARING – corrected to hear verbal safety warnings and instructions from coworkers
