Summary: Maintain, repair, and install electrical equipment at multiple asphalt production facilities in the Metro Detroit Michigan area.

Responsibilities:

Perform all work safely and within MSHA and NEC standards
Maintain and troubleshoot electrical equipment and power distribution throughout multiple plants.
The ability to have flexible hours and to be on call.
Interpret electrical printouts, installation instructions, and work orders.
Establish the appropriate procedures to locate and correct electrical problems, and determine electrical component replacements.
Troubleshoot electrical problems in power circuits rated at 120-240 volts, in control circuits of various voltages.
Troubleshoot and repair IT wiring and camara system issues.
Perform splices and terminations.
Install and maintain power controls on equipment.
Install and maintain plant lighting
Perform work area inspections.

Requirements:

Safety conscious, self-motivated, proficient communication skills, long-term career goals, exceptional work ethic.
The ability to read and draw diagrams.
Knowledge of basic AC and DC control circuits as well as terminology of tools, prints and equipment.
The ability to install conduit and tubing.
High School Diploma.
At least two years of electrical experience.
Journeyman’s license preferred
The ability to work at heights
Valid driver’s license with a good driving record
Proficient or skilled in the use of computer software including but not limited MS Windows and MS Office.
The ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen and fit for physical work

This position requires walking, standing, bending, twisting, sitting and the ability to lift with or without accommodations.
