Position Overview:  

Direct / Manages crusher crew members. Coordinates and ensures productive operation of the crusher plant.   

 

Key Responsibilities (Essential Duties and Functions)

 

  1. Safely maintain crusher plant operations to ensure timely production
  2. Oversees the monitoring of gauges, dials and operation of machinery
  3. Perform safety inspections and run routine staff safety meetings
  4. Coordinate production and loading of aggregate
  5. Communicate and receive directions from team members
  6. Perform routine maintenance and repair
  7. Direct general operations of loader operator, truck driver and laborer.
  8. Routinely assist other members of the work force in maintenance and repair.
  9. Regular and timely attendance
  10. Participate in and promote an inclusive environment

 

Qualifications

       To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.

 

Education/Experience

  • High school diploma or general education degree (GED) required.

 

Work Requirements

  • A minimum of 2 years construction and or aggregate plant operations / supervisor related experience
  • Will be subject to drug testing, medica exams and physical agilities testing.

 

Knowledge/Skill Requirements

 

  • Ability to influence people to work enthusiastically towards goals and performance targets by effectively providing necessary coaching, mentoring, and feedback.
  • Ability to lead and manage change through continuous performance improvement in employee development, quality, safety, and production.
  • Ability to read and comprehend simple instructions, short correspondence, and memos.  Ability to write correspondence.    
  • To perform this job successfully, an individual should be able to type and use keyboards accurately and have knowledge of Database software (word/excel).
