Summary

 

Oldcastle Enclosure Solutions, a rapidly growing division of the Nation’s largest heavy construction materials business, is seeking a individual who is passionate about delivering an outstanding customer experience by having the right products in the right place at the right time. Based in Atlanta, GA, this role works closely with manufacturing, distribution and sales to match capacity and inventory with demand and create an efficient production plan across many high-volume SKU’s. This position will work across all parts of the organization to resolve issues related to forecasting, capacity, on time delivery and inventory optimization.

 

Responsibilities

 

  • Manage direct reports in managing a production plan based on sales demand, forecasts, and inventory requirements to meet customer service goals.
  • Develop strategic vision to effectively improve overall forecasting accuracy, demand planning effectiveness and optimize inventory levels to increase customer service levels.
  • Implement robust process to connect Sales and Operations that results in growth opportunities through maximizing

site network capacity.

  • Analyze longer term demand to make recommendations which address any production capacity surplus /under-utilization or constraint deficits.
  • Statistical analysis of sales data history to identify trends, sourcing improvement opportunities, and ability to level load production.
  • Work closely with Sales and Marketing in coordinating new product launch, transition and/or discontinuation of products.
  • Work closely with Customer Service, Service Managers and Transportation teams to address issues through continuous improvement in the order fulfillment process.
  • Maintain key performance metrics surrounding production planning and plan attainment, as well as keep up to date various key data fields within the ERP system that drive master planning.

 

Knowledge / Skills

 

  • Proven working experience in demand planning while delivering above average customer experience.
  • Proven track record of managing a large number of SKU’s in a complex manufacturing environment.
  • Proven ability to develop production plans and inventory strategies while effectively communicating recommendations to executive management.
  • Problem solving skills and willingness to roll up one’s sleeves to get the job done right.
  • Skilled at working effectively with cross functional teams in a matrix organization.
  • Data mining and analytical skills with an above average proficiency in MS Excel.
  • Written and verbal communication skills.

 

Education / Experience

 

  • BS degree required. Concentration in supply chain, operations management, business related field highly preferred.
  • 5 + years’ experience in a planning or similar role. Advanced degree in related field accepted in lieu of experience.
  • Six Sigma certification preferred.
