Job Description Summary

 

The Shipping Coordinator will be involved in the daily planning and execution of the transportation and logistics function to deliver cost effective and value-added services to internal and external customers.

 

Key Responsibilities

 

  • Utilizes ERP system to run open order report, analyze data and print pick tickets for daily shipments
  • Reviews open order report and purchase order confirmations to ensure the accuracy and completeness of shipping information, product counts and item specifications
  • Attend daily shipping meeting with production staff
  • Invoice drop shipments for intercompany transfers as necessary
  • Files completed work orders, purchase orders and sales orders as required to maintain accurate inventory records
  • Assign carriers to cover outbound shipments
  • Daily interaction with Acworth team to ensure on time shipments
  • Communicates with customer service responding to shipping questions and correcting order entry issues
  • Contact carriers for any third-party shipments for pickup
  • Performs additional duties as directed

Requirements

 

  • At least 2 years of experience in warehouse distribution or logistics
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office software, especially Excel
  • Experience working in ERP/TMS Systems
  • Ability to multi-task and prioritize
  • Ability to build and maintain strong internal relationships
  • Professional demeanor, both on the phone and in person
