Job Description Summary

We are looking for an ambitious Benefits Specialist to join our team. As a Benefits specialist, you will be responsible for overseeing, managing and administering our employees' benefits plans. This position will be based out of our Atlanta office in Sandy Springs, GA. 


 Job Responsibilities


  • Ensuring all Benefit elections from new and existing team members are input and reconciled against HRIS system (UltiPro).
  • Ensuring all status changes are reflected in various HR and Benefits systems, e.g. Fidelity, UltiPro, BenefitSolver.
  • Responding to Leave of Absence information requests from Third-Party Administrator (UNUM) meeting designated deadlines.
  • Investigating data requests where requested from Third-Party Administrators.
  • Communicating Benefits related information to new and existing team members with a clear understanding of CRHs employee value proposition and Benefits portfolio.
  • Ensuring HR Directors are well informed of any changes to benefits provision and/or any benefits related issues pertaining to employees within their respective regions.
  • Ensuring all COBRA requests are processed accurately and in a timely fashion.
  • Ensuring all correspondence into the Benefits Inbox is answered in accordance with defined KPIs.
  • Responsible for ensuring new starters receive an exceptional on-boarding process whereby all Benefits related information is communicated in a clear and concise manner.


Skills / Knowledge / Experience


  • 3+ years of experience of Benefits administration in a medium or large-scale company following Corporate Policy guidelines.
  • BA/BS in related field; HR certifications are a plus.
  • A comprehensive and current knowledge of laws relating to the administration of Leaves of Absence, including FMLA etc.
  • Previous experience of giving professional Benefits related presentations to large groups of employees.
  • Excellent relationship building skills with key stakeholders, specifically HR team members and Payroll teams.
  • Exceptional organization skills and attention to detail.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and an ability to work independently through issues.
  • Previous experience of working with Union related benefits.


The role will mostly be office based but may involve some travel to CRH locations across the country to give Benefits presentations or to support Regional HR Directors.
