Job Summary
Oldcastle Infrastructure is looking for a motivated CAD Drafter Intern to join our team. This position offers hands-on experience in creating and maintaining 3D CAD models and 2D drawings, contributing to new product designs and enhancements. As a CAD Drafter Intern, you will play a key role in supporting cross-functional teams, gaining exposure to engineering, operations, and product management, while learning industry-standard drafting techniques and tools.

This position is expected to start in person around May 2025 and continue through the entire summer term (i.e. through August 2025). We ask for a minimum of 12 weeks, full-time, onsite for most internships.
Job Responsibilities

Develop and refine detailed 3D models using Autodesk Inventor to support product designs and improvements.

Create precise 2D drawings in line with industry standards to ensure accurate communication of designs.

Organize and maintain CAD files in Autodesk Vault to ensure efficient data management.

Work closely with engineering and design teams to translate concepts into detailed drawings and models.

Contribute to drafting standards and help ensure consistency across all project files.

Assist with generating models and drawings based on Bills of Material from the ERP system.

Provide input and support to enhance drafting workflows and practices.
Job Requirements

Junior or Senior currently pursuing a Bachelor’s Degree in Design Drafting, Engineering, or a related field.

Familiarity with 3D modeling software, with Autodesk Inventor experience preferred.

Basic understanding of ASME and ANSI standards.

Ability to read and interpret blueprints.

Strong attention to detail, multi-tasking, and critical thinking skills.
Compensation

The hourly pay rate is $25/hr.
