Job Description Summary

Leviat seeks a dependable and energetic individual to supervise activities in our 50,000 SF facility in Boone, Iowa. This is a 3rd shift position that is an excellent opportunity for an energetic person looking for a long-term relationship with a highly progressive and growth-oriented company. 

Job Responsibilities

Essential job functions include:

• Hands-on supervision of up to 15 employees
• Ensure and monitor the proper training of assigned employees
• Motivate, train, assign, and check work of subordinates
• Enforce safety rules and ensure work areas are maintained in a clean and orderly condition
• Allocate personnel and equipment to various areas to accomplish scheduled jobs and to maintain production efficiencies
• Coordinate work with support departments
• Enforce quality standards
• Conduct performance reviews of subordinates
• Responsible for employee relations issues, conflict resolution, performance evaluations, and disciplinary actions
• Operates forklift, once trained, when necessary
• Assist maintenance with troubleshooting equipment issues to minimize downtime
• Perform other duties as assigned

Required Skills / Qualifications

• High school diploma/equivalent 
• Minimum of 2 years supervisory experience
• Minimum of 5 years manufacturing experience
• Experience with safety compliance
• Experience with Lean Manufacturing and processing a drive to continuously improve processes
• Ability to read shop drawings
• Strong communication, interpersonal, organizational, planning, and time-management skills
• Ability to work under tight time constraints and at multi-task functions
• Proven ability at supervising work for a team of individuals with differing skill levels to enable the team to achieve desired performance and quality standards
• Basic math skills
• Ability to work in a factory environment and to perform manual labor
• Familiar with Microsoft Office

Physical Environment

• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs.
