Summary


This role is responsible for supervision of employees within assigned shift in a manufacturing setting 

 

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

 

  • Responsible for all production scheduling
  • Oversee hourly employees and handle their work assignments
  • Handle all site level QC testing and issues
  • Responsible for weekly site cycle counting and inventory accuracy
  • Responsible for monthly raw material and quarterly finished goods inventory counts
  • Will handle all issues that arise on the production floor until they need to be escaladed to the Plant Manager level 
  • Handle employee reviews and work with the Plant Manager on yearly merit increases
  • Work with Area Safety Coordinator on site safety tasks.
  • Handle daily raw material ordering and scheduling
  • Operate all production equipment 
  • Insure all safety rules are followed and employee follow safety program
  • Supervise employees in department to ensure they meet quality standards
  • Act as: relief supervisor, bag operator, yard attendant, and QC Tech and any other production function as needed
  • Other duties and responsibilities related to the nature of the job may be assigned on a temporary or permanent basis as needed

Requirements / Experience

 

  • On the job training to include but not limited to operation of heavy equipment, production line machinery, and development of trouble-shooting skills
  • Experience working in a manufacturing setting
  • Experience working in a supervisory / lead role 
  • Experience operating concrete Dry Mix equipment a plus 

 

Physical Requirements

 

  • Ability to lift up to 60 pounds
  • Endure intermittent climbing, bending, stooping, twisting, reaching, pushing, and pulling
  • Walking up and down elevated catwalks and stairs and standing for long periods of time
