About the job

As part of the transformation of the Castelsarrasin production site into a Centre of Excellence for the manufacture of waiting boxes, Leviat is recruiting a Process and Planning technician or engineer responsible for:

  • Analysing manufacturing processes and methods, then proposing and implementing an improvement plan
  • Plan and schedule production orders for the Centre of Excellence

 

The candidate's technical skills will enable him/her to provide the Centre of Excellence with expertise in making the right choices in terms of automation, manufacturing equipment selection, product improvement, workshop layout and industrial performance.

 

He/she will also play an active role in the migration to SAP scheduled for 2026.

 

The division of labour will initially be around 50/50 and will evolve towards a predominance of Process over the course of 2025.

Description

Ensuring that orders are compliant for production launch.

Manage the planning and launch of production orders for several workshops (in terms of quality, cost, deadline)

Organise the production schedule according to available capacity (raw materials, machines, staff, etc.).

Collect and analyse data and propose technical modifications to manufacturing processes.

 

Working Relationship

Reports to the site's Scheduling, Planning & Performance Manager.

Liaises on a daily basis with internal departments (sales, procurement, project managers, production, shipping, logistics, quality, maintenance).

Your mission

  • Analyse production requirements
  • Plan the work of the workshops,
  • Check the feasibility of the production programme in the light of organisational constraints,
  • Compile manufacturing files,
  • Investigate and resolve malfunctions on the production line (technical support)
  • Check technical data and close production orders,
  • Update item parameters in the ERP system,
  • Collect, analyse and propose technical modifications to processes.
  • Analyse and update product ranges and bills of materials.
  • Coordinate actions with internal departments,
  • Participate in and pass on suggestions for improvement,
  • Participate in setting up new production equipment (technical specifications).

 

Responsibilities

  • Ensuring compliance with customer commitments in terms of quality, cost, and deadlines, in coordination with production.
  • Ensure that production receives a complete file that meets the customer's requirements.
  • Make suggestions for improving manufacturing processes.

 

Skills

  • Mastery of the entire industrial process and the capacities of each workshop, workstations, and procedures.
  • Technical skills.
  • Analysing, integrating, and summarising a mass of information
  • Communicate and take the initiative.
  • Be rigorous and follow procedures.

Specific professional knowledge

  • Good knowledge of the Office package (mainly Excel)
  • ERP experience (SAP, Axapta)
  • Knowledge of planning techniques
  • Knowledge of stock management principles and order management processes
  • Technical knowledge

 

Qualification

  • Level of studies: BAC+3/5
  • Minimum 3 to 5 years' experience in the role
